I have installed the Beta for the BandVWM and really like the idea of individual desktops available in the Windows Taskbar each independent of the other. I am currently using the app with 9 separate desktop windows and have configured each to have their own separate wallpaper from sites such as VladStudio.com, Wincustomize.com, and digitalblasphemy.com.
I have noticed (while running Task Manager) that as you add Wallpapers for each window, the size of the explore.exe process takes up larger and larger chunks of memory space until with 9 windows and wallpapers its peak is > 90,000k of memory at times.
I have also noticed that when you start up Windows Explorer in a window, it periodically disappears when you go to another desktop and come back (never to reappear) and still consumes explorer.exe process memory. After some time, the task bar then becomes unavailable and I have had to force a reboot to clear it up.
I have resorted to ending the explorer.exe task periodically in Task Manager and restarting it to clear up the memory before it becomes unstable and I need to reboot.
Anyone else using the BandVWM and seeing any issues?
