New occurrence- At the end of my startup programs in windows xp, my shortcuts on the desktop quickly blink and then the drop shadows from the text are suddenly very dark (and sometimes irregular). Moving or opening a window over top of them will restore them. Doesn't seem to be a graphics driver problem since a reinstall didn't correct it. Also a reinstall of WindowBlinds didn't solve the issue. I also deleted the program and registry folder. Not sure at what depth a connection to WB still exists but my OutPost pro firewall remains skinned even though everything has been removed. Curiously my firewall was the only application that would not skin, until one day it suddenly complied.
