Problem loading theme

Hi, i started with destopx a few days ago, and i created my own theme, when i first restarted my computer, i wanted to load my theme and when i did that, a window showed up saying that destopx was having problems and it had to be closed and then another asking if i wanted to try again loading that theme or if i wanted to load another theme, i wanted to know if i can do something to load my theme correctly.

try installing the program again... restart ur computer right after u install it. I have never had this probem happin to me.

After starting your computer, load (start) DesktopX, right click the icon in the system tray and select "Configure DesktopX...".

Under the "General" tab, click the "new" button in the "Theme" section, and then select "no" in the next two dialog boxes that pop-up (one will ask about saving the current theme, and the other will ask if you want to reset theme settings). This should give you a clean slate to work with.

Now create your desktop theme by loading or creating your objects. Once you have everything the just the way you want it on your desktop, click the "Save as ..." button in the "Theme" section and give your theme a name in the "File name" text box, then click "Save", then click "Apply" at the bottom of the main Configure panel. Your theme should now be saved, and should be listed with the other themes if you click the "Load" button in the "Theme" section.

If you want DesktopX to start-up when you boot the computer, go to the "Preferences" tab and select "Run automatically when windows starts" option, then click "Apply".

You can test the theme by loading say the "default" theme, then reload your saved theme. If all goes well and you have selected the "Run automatically when windows starts" option, you should be able to reboot the machine and see your new theme show up.

Please note that your DesktopX objects (.dxpack files) should be installed in the "Objects" folder in the "C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\DesktopX" folder, (or Stardock\DesktopX folder if you don't have the full Object Desktop suite).

Likewise, your widgets (.exe files) should be in the "Widgets" folder, and your themes (.dxtheme files) in the "Themes" folder.
