FYI
Using programs that "clean-up" your computer is one of the most dangerous things that you can do. It almost always causes irreperable damage if you don't know what you are doing.
I recommend backing up your system to a seperate partition and/or DVD-R using a program such as Acronis True Image and then back up your e-mail, documents etc. to a separate partition and/or CD-R/RW.
I also recommend frequent System Restore Points if using Windows XP. I especially recommend setting a Restore Point before installing any questionable software so that you can immediately "roll-back" if you have problems.
Formatting may seem like a time-consuming task, but if you do it once and then back-up your system as described above you will save yourself many hours in the future. Ask yourself how many hours do you spend trying to repair problems when they go wrong and you might see that restoring from an image or restore point is the most efficient way to go.
