Lots of people here in the Tampa Bay area are feeling the blues without a doubt.
Back when he was 16 he was playing with any band who would have him her ein the Bay area. He made a lot of friends here in the Blue Room, Manhattan Casino and Cotton Club. Manzy Harris was a friend he made while here which also passed a while back. Ray showed up here to do a concert when Harris was turning 90.
Hard to believe that Ray Charles was doing 200 concerts a year up until he turned 70 and then dropped a few from his circuit so he could rest a little in between
