Michael Schumacher is a brilliant driver.....it's just a pity there is no-one within a bull's roar of his standard.

The last to come close was Ayrton Senna....having those two against each other at their peak would have been sheer magic to witness.

Dunno if any of you know what it's actually like to be driving one of these things....but just imagine a machine....a reciprocating machine that revs at 320 revs per SECOND [not minute]....19,200 rpm.

The G-forces are phenomenal, only matched [exceeded] by military aircraft.

Closest I came to 'propelling' one was push starting Senna out of pit-exit on qualifying.....when the clutch drops...the car is simply no longer there......and we're reminded NOT to wrap fingers around the wing...or else we'll lose them....

Now, handling one for 2 hours....and in Adelaide they were gear shifting once every 2 seconds....for 2 hours [actually about 1.50]....requires massive skill and concentration.....their typical pulse rate about the same as mine at Turn 1 this year in Albert Park....[always a worry...first corner first lap]...and having to watch the blend-line for cars crossing, etc&nbsp[none did].

Seeing Schumi come out there this year and his first flying lap for the season broke the previous track record...that's just sheer magic.&nbsp I don't care that it is almost a one-horse race....cos it's a damn good horse....just means the others are pretty pathetic in comparison.

All his wins, etc are not down to luck....you make your own luck...through your own blood, sweat and tears....and skill...
