This has gone a little off topic....
When I first came here I felt anything BUT welcome
My first attempt at skinning was pitiful and I got flamed by a bunch of idiots in the comments.
After 2 weeks I decided to click on the message board link to see what it did

(before that point I had never interacted with human (or alien) lifeforms via any electronic devices except for outlook and telephones)

(i had never been on a forum) I had NO idea why the people on the message board kept getting mad at me. Everything I did or said seemed to be wrong in their eyes. They were completely cruel and it seemed as if they felt new users were a burden. I admit I did a
few stupid things but that does not excuse the inappropiate behavior exibited by everyone when a new user comes along... So back to my story... After a couple of weeks my uploads began to improve as I began to master Photoshop but I tried to simply avoid the message board. Yet I was drawn back to it... I wish there had been a stickey post stating what all the message board slang means. (troll, spam, flaming,

, Mod, Admin, Noob, Newbie, WC, SD, SDC, DX, WB, IP, proggie, app, e-blast, OD) I mean how are people like me supposed to know what those mean? (okey some of them are pretty easy but it took me a month to figure out noob

) Of course I got totally flamed when I attempted to ask what they meant (particularly spam and troll) because you all just thought I was asking to be a pain in the @$$. I always meant well but everything always went wrong... On my "dream stickey thread" there should also be a thing explaining message board edicit.
Reccently I finally clued in when Jafo told me to "lurk" But I still dont agree with him that my comments wern't helpful as 80% of them were true. (

) We are kinda of in a stalemate right now.
If I was an Admin I would create a "spamming and advertising" forum for talkitive users (such as myself

) to play in. That way the real message board would be virtually spam free!
Overall I dont think Wincustomize is very joiner friendly but once you stick around for a while it can be really cool
