Duane, it would help your cause a lot if you realized something, Windowblinds is installed and running fine on millions of machines. Personally, I've been running it since 1999 non-stop, through different OS's and every imaginable configuration. I've also run all sorts of other customized shells and apps and through it all, there has often been some bug or tweak that needed attention.
In that time I've felt Stardock was outstanding in addressing user issues, but you need to go where the programmers are if you're having some serious problems. Either the newsgroups or IRC are the best places to get suggestions. If it were a problrm with WB then Stardock would want to find out about it and fix it as fast as possible, right? If it's something in your configuration (most likely) then you might find someone there that had the same thing happen and could lead you right to the fix.
Bottom line is, you're having a problem and you need to fix it. That's why skinning has always been a realm where mostly expert users get involved. It's only fairly recently that skinning has had a broad appeal with the general public. Obviously, WB does work or else you'd see millions of people complaining about it. For you to say WB causes problems as severe as you're having only makes it sound like you don't know how to use your computer, which makes using StyleXP way more dangerous than using WB.
Take a deep breath and dig in and fix it. Use the resources of dozens of expert users for advice at the newsgroups and try to catch a programmer on IRC.
Snidely's advice in post #2 is probably right on the money btw.
