Sorry to hear you are having issues. Here is what I believe it is for. If you have one Folder with lots of documents in it. And you wish to create a taskbar button on that specific folder. But instead of listing of everything in that folder, you wish it only show MS Word documents. To do this, you need to do these steps.
- Give the taskbar pin folder a name.
- Pick target folder
- Use the inclusion or exclusion regex rule. For my example above. I just need to enter doc in the inclusion box.
- Once that is done, go back to taskbar pins tab->Pin folder menu->Custom filtered folders->Select for the list the name given in Step one above.
- That Filtered folder should appear in your taskbar.
- Click on that taskbar button and if done correctly it should open up a menu listing all the Word document inside that folder.
