Joe, I have nothing to add to this thread that others haven't already said, other than I am a person who is required to take a boatload of meds every day. One makes me really sick, but I save that one for weekends (it's a once a week drug), because these drugs have given me my life back, in spite of the side effects (dizziness, bone loss, etc.). I have a kind of arthritis, called spondyloarthropathy. I had to take 4 months medical leave a few years ago to get the meds adjusted. But, in spite of the side effects, I can walk now. As a matter of fact, I walk miles almost every day with my gigundo German Shepherd. And, I do it without a cane. Sure, I'm not perfect. I still limp. I still resort to pain meds from time to time. BUT I CAN WALK.
Moral of the story, take your meds, adjust to the side effects, find another med that works if you can't. Find a doc you can trust, cuz s/he's gonna be your best friend.
And, of course, it goes without saying, I sure wish you the absolute best. Good luck, bud. I'm pullin' for ya.
