Object Dock 3 Autohide taskbar will not unhide

Hi...

I have been having problems with Object Dock 3 autohide feature not unhiding. It can take many many attempts and a very long time to get the dock to drop.

I have seen that others have experienced similar problems but the solutions advised have not worked.

I have the following hardware etc...

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. Asus motherboard TUF Gaming.

Windows 11 24h2 build 26100.448 All up to date.

My system has been freshly installed and Object Dock 3 installed. I have tried many different software settings but regardless of my efforts and time spent nothing seems to work.

The software does not work as intended and I am becoming very frustrated at this problem. Can you please advise as to how I should proceed to rectify a major software problem.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I can not reproduce your issue. Refer to my short Gif below. Excuse the low frame rate, was testing on my VM machine.

Please try, uninstall ObjectDock v3, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

As I had already posted I have already done exactly what you suggested. But to prove a point I did it all again. Result is the same. Sometimes the dropdown dock will respond quickly. Other times however the dock will not drop down no matter how often I try clicking the top of the screen. I tried putting a quick launch dock to the left of the screen and found that it too was random in it's behaviour.

This sems to be a well known problem and it occurs even with fresh installs of Windows 11. The thing that I find very annoying is that when I'm busy working and I need to open a utility for example, the delays ruin my work flow and chain of thought and rather than being a tool to use it becomes an obstacle to my work flow.

There is clearly a hidden problem that is not obvious and therefore not easy to solve.

I invite you to check the thread that already has nearly 200,000 views regarding the incompatibility of Windows 11 with ObjectDock 3.

For now, Objectdock 3 is just a simple facelift in disguise and, unfortunately for the publisher, Microsoft seems to have (unintentionally) thrown a wrench in the works.

We are still waiting to be able to use a paid software that is truly Windows 11 ready.

That's the rub.. Objectdock is 'Paid for' by us the user's and as such it's not performing as it should.

I have decided to switch to Nexus for now at least, as it works seamlessly and has similar functionality thatObjectdock claims to have. It's very customisable so far I am impressed with it. Not as easy to setup but can look stunning if that's what you want.

For now I'll give Stardock a miss which is a pity after a long relationship with their software. I beginning to feel they have run out of fresh ideas and just give their software a bit of spit and polish.
