Adding Drives to Folder Portals

Can I add drives (C:, D:, E:) to a folder portal without showing all the folders on the drives?  So, in effect, the drive is the folder.  I use the Desktop as a workspace.  When the work is complete, I want to move (not copy) the work folder to one of the drives without opening up Explorer.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. That should work. You should be able to create a Fence that link to a drive. And if you click and drag a folder or a file from a desktop fence or desktop area to that Fence. It should move to that new Fence.

When I move a drive to a fence, the folders appear in the fence.  I want to move multiple drives to a fence without the folders showing so I can move (not copy) a desktop folder to 1 of several drives in the fence.

Hi gdownton- your best option would be to create shortcuts to the desired drives on your desktop and put them in a Fence group. Or create a folder with such links to the drives and create that as a Folder Portal.

You can drag and drop to those shortcuts and hold shift to move files to the drive when you drop.

Thanks everyone for the help.  But I don't think I can do what I want.  I thought I could move (not copy) folders to a place in the fence without the shift key.  And I can with folders but not with drives, at least shortcuts to drives.  I think what I will do is create a Folder Portal for each drive.  Then I can move to any of the drives without the shift key.  I thought I could do with 1 fence or 1 folder portal but I don't think that's possible.
