For myself it isn't an issue of resources but one based in morals. ( Which is really odd for me, I do not feel constrained by morals, EH

, anyway )
StyleXP is a hack, the fact that it applies the hack in memory as opposed to changing the file on the drive before being loaded into memory does not make a difference.
What I find honestly funny about the whole StyleXP group of devout users is the fact that they are paying money for the right to run a hack they could actually do on their own without paying anyone a dime to do and use.
That is a personal choice that they have made which is what I have done. I have purchased the main commercially sold Shell and Skin applications on the market.
WinSTEP, Hoverdesk, Aston and ODnet are the ones I have purchased and have found to all do exactly what they claim to do and very well at that.
StyleXP on the other hand is something I could not pay a dime for. If I am going to accept making the choice to infringe upon intellectual property rights I am *not* going to pay someone to do it.
Fix that (license the right to make use of the M(icrosoft)SSTyle and I would consider checking out StyleXP also.
Until that time I am happy in my ignorance of that specific hack.
( side note: I've noticed that StyleXP is actually being pirated now that I find hilarious.

)
