I just upgraded from Fences 4 to Fences v5.04. The upgrade itself went smoothly but when double clicking the desktop after a restart I can no longer hide my desktop icons. Worked perfectly when using version 4. Anybody else experience this or know how to correct it. Windows 10 22H2
Have you made sure that it's enabled in settings? If on, turn it off and then back on. Now does it work?
After an update, the option "Always show icons at startup" is selected by default.
yes it is enabled. I disabled and then re-enabled no change. does not work
If you right click on an empty space of a Fence, make sure "Exclude this Fence from quick-hide" is not checked.

Try creating a new Folder Portal Fence and see if that will show/hide with double click on Desktop.
