Hah...Yous will all be sorry when I get my newest system up and running....I'll show you.

Its a 'Mac'....well....it's a Apple....don't think 'Mac' was thought of then.

Has 2 drives, neither of them 'hard'....a massive screen [ok, it's green and makes a good bookend - for small books]....keyboard...well...has keys...and a mouse!!!  OK, so I need to cut off some fingers cos I have too many for one button, but I CAN do this....it's all about being 'Mac compatible'.

Problem is software...well actually..operating system...it doesn't have one....not if you turn it off it doesn't...so I gotta hunt down some disks....but when I do y'all better watch out 'cos my 2e is smokin' and beats the proverbial outa PC junk...

[I guess the little keyboard is to compensate for the one-fingered Mac user compatability mouse button thingie]...

I love my sexy iBook, but it does annoy me that it only has one mouse button on it. You'd think that with the extra five-hundred dollars I pay for a Mac computer, that they'd add an extra button, especially when context menus are quite common.

Why even pay $500 more for a Mac instead of a PC? What can one do on a Mac that they cannot do on a PC?

The PC is the better choice because the amount you pay for a PC is less than a Mac. For the same amount of money it costs to get a low end Power Mac, you can get a PC that is much more powerful than that low end Power Mac. I can't think of anything that a Mac can do that a PC can't do. Burning CDs and DVDs, editing movies, and computer graphics can all be done on a PC plus there is a lot more software available for the PC so I would think you can do more with a PC.

I don't like you bashing macs as much as you don't like people bashing the Game Cube.

Sometimes I wish you would just be quiet if you ain't got nothing good to say because you probably stated a flame war.

Why would somebody pay $500 extra for a Mac? Honestly, I did it because I've always wanted a Mac. It's like buying a more expensive car that's nicer than one that's just as good. And let's face it, Macs are totally hot!

facts:

1. Macs cost more than PCs.

2. The same tasks that can be done on a Mac can be done on a PC.

3. There is more software available for PCs than there is for Macs.

Damnit tech, it depends on what you need for a computer to do. Macs do graphics better and have for along time. A majority of movies are made on Macs, and as far as the software thing, PC's might have more but there are alot of decent titles for Macs.

Macs do graphics better and have for along time.


I don't know about that. Both Macs and PCs use nVidia and ATI graphic cards. Both have a version of Photoshop which performs the same tasks on each. I don't really see where the difference lies.

Can you give me the technically details for this? As far as stability goes, XP is just as stable as OS X. Both can end up crashing due to user error. Look at the uptime in my desktop screenshot on my profile and don't try to claim I somehow doctored the screenshot.
