Anyone know how to disable snap

disable snap

Hi, Anyone know how to disable snap on the desk top I was able to do it a few years back I cant now...I have Ver 3.1.3.3

Hold "Shift" key should disable the snapping.

Thank you for your reply, maybe I'm not using the right terminology...Lets say I have 5 icons on the left side of the screen & I want to move one icon to the right side of the screen  ...it wont stay there, it snaps back to the left side again???

Try disable "Auto arrange icons"

Thank you that's it. I uninstalled it then reinstalled it now it works thank you again.
