Hello,
I'm running Windows 10 21H2 (OS Build 19044.3448) on a notebook with an additional LG monitor. The notebook monitor has a resolution of 1920x1080 and is set to scaling 100%. The LG has 3840x2160 and is set to 125%.
The LG is set to be my primary display and all my fences are located on the secondary (Notebook) display. Both monitors are used as an extended display in Windows.
Lately I switched Advanced Scaling Settings off because I need to use more often a different external monitor with different dimensions (5120x1440) and I get almost unreadable text if I just plug in the other big monitor into my notebook.
I'm not 100% sure but I think since then I get weird spacing of icons on my notebook. It seems that Fences is using the scaling of the primary monitor (LG) to define the Icon Spacing on the secondary monitor (notebook) which creates a lot of empty space and even forced some fences to go off the screen to my primary display.
What I would like to have is: Fences is using the scaling of the display where the fence is located to calculate the icon spacing.
I already tried restart, logout. No change. I even tried hacking the registry (LastIconSpacing*) but didn't help either. Fences seems to calculate and set these values on every restart.
Is there any solution/workaround for this?
Thanks in advance
Michael
