HiI have a problem at present that I just cannot find a way around and I'm pretty sure its something I'm missing. I have three copies of Fences for two PCs running both Windows 10 and Windows 11. Why three copies for four OSes? Well on one of them I'm using Fences 2 and the problem I have on Fences 4 just works on Fences 2. So what is the problem? On none of the OSes where Fences 4 is installed can I set the interfence spacing, i.e. the spacing between fences, in the Layout & Snapping dialogue. I'm sure that at one point I was able to do so with no problem - but now I just can't, for some reason the setting just can't be adjusted. Is it something I'm missing? For example, a setting I may have set which is disabling the adjustment? Or maybe something else I've not yet considered. If anyone has any ideas on this I would appreciate any help that may be available. Many thanks.Tracey
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, have you tried pressing the "Shift" key while micro moving or resizing your Fences around so you can arrange/resize it to your liking?

I have noticed that this could be done but really it does NOT answer my problem of why I can't fine tune the positioning horizontally a lot more precisely. Currently on my PC downstairs prior to this setting becoming 'unavailable' I managed to set the interfence spacing to 14 pixels but there is no way I can do this now - at least not on the desktop, the setting is simply disabled. I consider if it is there it is intended to be used and effective (as it is in Fences2). So really your response although appreciated does NOT solve my problem.

Any movement on this yet. Up to now the ONLY way I've found to do this is to modify the snappadding setting in the registry. Whilst it worked I'm not so sure its recommended. In fact I'm sure it isn't... BUT for lack of any other solution I tried it and it did work.

No, nothing new on this one. There was a report created internally (FEN-189) on something related to this one but no new movement on it yet. I forward this issue again to Support for his review. Appreciate your feedback and patience on it.
Thank you,
Thanks at least for trying. For the moment though I shall just have to continue editing the registry key to achieve my aim.
