UWP apps

Can you help me auto-group instances of this app based on rules?

AdobeXD, is a UWP app, which requires a different approach maybe?

I tried window caption matching, I tried app path. Nothing works.

I use the latest version of Groupy + Win11.

So you are asking about grouping instances of the same app, not many apps, new running processes of the same app, yes?

If so, are you able to manually group them - not using rules?

Yes, I can do it manually but not automatically. For example, Chrome, WOr, and Edge are exe-based apps and automatically group when I open another instance of them.

If this is going to work at all for that (any such multiple instance) app, I would think it would have to have actual files it is opening up to, not just blank new instances.  Is that what you have saved, blank instances?  If so, have you tried with saving \ opening a save group that actually opens existing files?

I think the problem is the path used for the app there.

Unfortunately AdobeXD doesn't seem to be available on the MS store anymore so we cannot test it here.

Did you get the path from the pick file drop down, or did you browse to it using the Pick file... option on that drop down?  It should have used the appid for the app rather than a path to the exe.

You may find the best solution is to leave the process field blank and just use the caption matching option.
