Groupy 2 Window display

This is pretty funky.

When I create a new File Explorers Tab from a group of File Explorer windows

the groupy 2 window jumps around and displays as follows.

The black background is the desktop, so you can see the tabs appear disassociated from the file explorer window - the newly created on is the one that shows.

This is part of a wider issues is the from time to time the Groupy 2 window moves around, e.g. across screens, but this is the first time I have found a repeatable example.

W10 Pro 22H2 19045.3086 and 19045.3155 Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19041.1000.0 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Try this, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately, re-download latest Groupy version from your account page. Reinstall it. Reboot again immediately after. Retest and report back.

I am sorry, I in the wrong, I meant Groupy 2. Please uninstall Groupy 2, reboot immediately, re-download latest Groupy 2 version from your account page. Reinstall it. Reboot again immediately after. Retest and report back.

Thanks, when I tried to uninstall groupy I get the error "Invalid start mode: archive filename

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Thanks very much, that helped.
I still had to manually reboot and manually delete the program files left over.

How do I download the 64 bit version, it seems to only download the 32 bit version?

I believe, there is only one version release, and, it works without issue on my 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11 system. What 64-bit related issue did you encounter with it?

The bits that need to be 64 bit will be on a 64 bit install.  The app has to include 32 bit executables as well to support 32 bit apps running on your computer.

There is also absolutely no need for the configuration window to be 64 bit so including just one copy for both makes sense.

If you check task manager when running Groupy you should see the main process groupyctrl is 64 bit.

With regards to issues, we have a 2.1 beta with lots of small issues resolved that I would recommend trying.

Ah thanks, I was confused that it wanted to install itself in the (x86) folder when the one I uninstalled was in the 64 bit ("\program files\") folder.

I uninstalled everything as instructed above. And then deleted the Program File folders that were left (from the 64 bit folder). Then installed the 2.1 beta.

The funky display still occurs from time to time. As you see in the image below the tabs are at the top of the screen, but the window is located away from the top of the screen. (the black is the screen background)

Note that I have a multi monitor display, with one in portrait and the other in landscape.

Hello,

I believe the latest release version is V2.1 which is no longer a beta. Have you try that one? Try uninstall Groupy. Important to reboot immediately after uninstall. Download and Install V2.1. Reboot again. Retest it and report back.

If you are able to try the beta update which is available on your downloads page on the Stardock store it may help with this issue as changes were made for related concerns.

2.11 is beta and you were using 2.1 so you were not using the beta before based on your screenshot from earlier.
