Nikos...it's more work for the admins/moderators to have to re-accept these updates, but, it doesn't take 5 days....generally revised works for whatever reason are back public quite quickly.
Giving the moderators the option/capacity to actually be aware of the normally non-moderated works' frequency of updating/revision means that those who may assume they have found a way to 'cook the books' actually will not profit from it.
It's really disheartening to be aware of such happenings....and possibly one of the reasons I personally now do very little in the way of skinning....when I see who and what is going on....it just rankles a little.
The current system is in place to make the site fair for all.
No-one is better than any other....skinning may have 'elders', 'giants' and 'legends', but the real truth is anyone and everyone who skins is a skinner and ultimately deserves our equitable consideration.
One of the hardest things to do is to be in a position of influence and/or authority over others and NOT abuse the privilege/power by/with prejudiced action.
The heirarchical advancement from visitor/Citizen to Journeyman/Master [and beyond] is in place to assist with the handling/running of the site such as moderation-free uploading, but not everyone may be found entirely suited to respecting their 'freedom' and have been known to abuse the privilege, so effectively all have lost it.
It's not really a big thing to have a short delay in place for updates....particularly when seen from the other side of the fence....those whose works ALL must endure 'moderation', whether new, old, or whatever...
