If you have not heard President Bush's announcement, and it was only 4 minutes long, I strongly urge that you do so. It was very well said. Paraphrasing as best I can he said "Saddam will receive the justice that he denied so many others." The trial is expected to be held in Iraq, as Iraq is now a free and sovereign nation.
This will not mark the end of terror which must continue to be fought "cell by cell." But it certainly is an important event and means that Iraq will not return to Saddamist rule. As Prime Minister Tony Blair so eloquently put it "It removes the shadow that has been hanging over them for too long of the nightmare of a return to the Saddam regime. This fear is now removed."
Be aware that you are witnessing history. It is a great day.

are you kidding? I could almost see the wall behind dubya through his eyes. theres nothing there. NOTHING. He's reading off a teleprompter, with the ususal patriotism like "This is a great day for America," and "God bless America." That speech was a joke.
Blair's speech, on the other hand, was very well put. No b/s, no unnecessary patriotic comments, no f***ing teleprompter. We need a president who literally knows what he's saying.
