At my work, I use windows 1.0 and 3.11 we do programing of Eproms and such..These old programs are also command line driven so I also use alot of dos 6.2..I have 3 8088 proccesors.. 2 that use 386 and 2 that use 486..I use them specifically to control a wireless network and to load Hex files onto data terminals in an Industrial manufacturing environment...
Not like its nessasary to use this old equipment..But it literaly serves a specific function only and they do it well...
