Start11 and its inconsistent transparency.

Need enlightening/ function to deliberate control it

So, I really need Start11 to work exactly like on this photo above instead of this crappy:

And I messed on the solidity but it doesn't do the trick. Is it really my wallpaper that does it magic? Wow?
Regardless, please fix this. It needs to work consistently. Maybe the build I'm on alters its working. I do not use only one, but various pre-2020 windows 10 builds. It is Ultra useful to have it transparent because I open the start box a lot and it is big and blocks much of whats going on.
I'm a proud owner of all the 3 start products from Stardock! Will consider buying also Start12 f it evers.

Set the start menu color to black which will give you white text and then adjust the transparency to the percentage which gives you the look you are wanting. Probably 80 to 85% will work.

This "set start menu color to black", if applicable to all selectable versions of the menu, may be my problem. I chose the Windows 7 presentation of the start menu when I set up Start 11. Unlike in Start 10, the right-side shortcuts are apparently black text on black background, only becoming visible when hovered over.

I can't find a setting that changes that status to make the text constantly visible. Is there one? If so, please point me to the instructions or the menu item to make the change.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I believe there is no option to un"blur" the Startpanel. However to be sure, I have forwarded your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

I have managed to figure it out. It is all about the build you're currently at. Just tested it, installed half a dozen Windows 10's tday. For version 1703 (15063.0), it Works JUST the way I like it. Transparent AND adjustable, the first print on my post. The option would STILL be greatly appreciated. Can't muster going forward builds after discovering this one, and for this motive alone. I'm really nitpicky about this stuff, but there are more reasons to keep using earlier builds too.

The reason there is no blur on earlier versions of Windows is that there is no blur support on very early Windows 10 releases.

It is obviously discouraged to use such old versions of Windows.

that's a tip of a hat for me, encourages me to defy the obvious. I do it for longer you'd likely picture, never had any ""security issues"".

of COURSE that will depend on who you are and how you use your PC.

bet ya can't watch some fullscreened youtube while also looking at what time it is on the bottom corner by tapping windows key and looking through your apps to remember if you need to run some other thing without the need to pause the vid. I can.
