Since apparently vidstub.sys is the bootskin file...couldn't one get it by downloading another copy of the Bootskin app?
This is the only info/mention I can find about it and a similar issue, from the news article thread when Bootskin alpha was first released:
Question:
" HELP!!
It screwed my win2000! I cannot boot anymore, when the logo it's supposed to appear, the screen displays strange colors (fast) then turns black, and doesn't boot anymore. Safe mode doesn't work either.
I accessed my computer's directories with the winXP recovery console, but which files do I need to delete to uninstall the damn bootscreen?
thanks
