Green Armani needs help :(

Hi everyone......I ask here cuz I know a lot of people are way more capable then I to actually make a working website.

Brief History>>>>>Green Armani secures and purchases the domain "GreenArmani.com">>>>>Green Armani tries and tries to make a good website>>>>>>Green Armani fails and institutes help from a friend>>>>>>>Green Armani's friend creates the site and it really wasn't that great>>>>>>Green Armani attempts to make his own site and fails miserably>>>>>>>Green Armani decides to ask for help

Now, if anyone is willing to aid me create my site.......PLEASE PLEASE e-mail me I have the layout and the general design but I'm failing to put it all together.

I'm going to Thanksgiving dinner but when I get back I hope someone is willing to help

I know how you feel. I've been there myself. I'd offer to help but believe me, youd on't want MY help on creating a site. Not if you want people to visit it. The nicest thing that's been said about my site design skills is "they're craptacular!"

Thanks guy's Bad news on the Thanksgiving dinner............my grandma was leaving the dinner which was at my uncle's place and she was going down some steps and I guess she miss-judged the last step and she fell I just came back from the hospital where they X-rayed her and she unfortunately broke her left patella and left elbow I'm really bummed because she is just the sweetest lady you could ever meet. Everybody is kicking themselves because we should have helped her down.......I guess since she had gone down those steps before on her own that we got a false sense of security. Anyway.....thanks to all that replied.......I look forward to the help and maybe I can finally have a decent website of my own

there is just this one small thing, you said: I have the layout and the general design...
Would you have something against it if it would become something completely new? something with an wall of you and there over the menu etc... I will try to workout an screenshot for you this afternoon so you can say if you like the idea.
I do need your 'Digital Inversion', do you like the idea of putting it into the background of your site?

Sorry to hear that about your Gram, mine is in her late 80's and she is so self dependent we seem to forget about similar things. But most times unless she is feeling all lovey dovey if you reach for her hand while offering help she slaps it and tells you off

I do hope everything turns out well for her and make sure she listens to the doc as best you and the others can...

...hmmm, going down that exact road myself at the moment Green Armani. I try to put a site together, seem happy with the results at the time, but come back to work on it again the next day only to find that I now hate it. I see so many beautiful looking sites on the net, and want mine to look as good, but it just never comes out looking the way I have it in my head.
... and I paid an absolute fortune for the Macromedia MX suite, thinking it would be easy. Ohhh how wrong I was! What a learning curve that proggy's got! I guess I just gotta study, study, study, and one day I'll hopefully get it right.

Fortunately it also comes with extended tutorials

Yeah......I don't even want an overly complicated site with all the bells and whistles that a lot of personal sites have. Just a clean and simple one for my little spot on the internet

I cried when I lost it. I really did.

I thought I wouldn't find it again but I did... at a store. So I bought it and never parted with it again.

another good book is

"Don't make me think" a good read for understanding the front end and menuing structure, what willd rive people awayand the theroy of Two Clicks deep...

mmm, have a bunch more, but that is one I think is key to the begining designer..
