There I was, playing with a proggy you can set to automatically delete all those various temp files, etc that accumulate....set it to do so.....and realised something was just a wee bit awry when I had the pleasure of watching all the desktop icons disappear.
Clicking on the start button usually revealed a few columns of installed 'stuff', but lo and behold I had but three....Games, Accessories and some other one....and they, too were empty.
What joy......
Goodie, I thought......now THAT was clever.
Start-run got me to Powerdesk where I could peruse the damage and yes, everything in the 'Documents and Settings' was there no more.
Sure, the odd folder remained....but data, info and links were, to put it simple, ex, as in no-more, as in shuffled off this mortal coil.
Of course, the good old PST file was carefully excised, as was the Exploder favourites, and other choice nibblies....
Must admit, though.....sure did clear out the temp files....albeit with extreme prejudice....
My next clever move will be to Format C:
I'm sure that'll do less damage to my well-being.
Must be sympathy pains for Stardock's drive crash....
Ain't computers fun?.....
