Start 11

Odd shadow bar on Windows 11

Hi, 

 

I use Start 11 on 5 machines and have a problem with one of them.

On my Surface Pro 6 i7 with Start 11 installed I get an odd 'shadow bar above the main star bar. It is there whether Start 11 is managing the taskbar or not. 

As soon as I uninstall Start 11 the bar disappears. Shadow Bar

I am sorry but we cannot provide technical support on insider releases of Windows, especially ones from the highly experimental dev channel.

All we can do is note it for future investigation should it continue to exist when / if changes to the OS make it to release status.

I have the same issue, has to to with the latest Windows insider beta update here

You can get rid of this by restarting explorer.exe after boot. However not working for: The start11 fullscreen win10 style menu is not connected to the taskbar but floating above that same space

Also taskbar is cut in half when Start11 taskbar enabled
