I have some feature requests for Start11. I've listed them in order of importance from most important to least important (to me).
1. Middle Click icon on taskbar to close that window. The default of opening another instance is useless with a lot of programs and closing is something people do all the time. This could be a dropdown in the settings that also has some other options like toggling always on top for that window. One way to make it even better is to make double middle clicking an icon taskkill the process that window belongs to. This is very useful when a program crashes or freezes you don't have to open task manager to kill it.
2. Separate Windows 11 taskbar tray buttons like they were in earlier Windows versions.
3. Taskbar tray on all monitors. Not just the clock but the whole tray with all of the icons and the menu containing even more icons. The things that appear when they're clicked should of course appear on the monitor the clicking was done on.
4. Showing seconds in the taskbar clock on Windows 11. Running Start 11 on Windows 10 seems to have this option available but on Windows 11 it isn't. Also support for a fully custom formatting of the taskbar clock would be neat. This could just be the string where you type in the variable names and separator characters in the order you want. It should support multiple lines for showing clock on top and date on bottom.
5. WindowBlinds themeability of the Windows 11 Style start menu. This should include things like custom search bar appearance and icon backgrounds and menu borders. The borders should also be smaller. On my monitor there is almost a centimeter of empty space at the left and top edges of the menu and about half a centimeter on the bottom and right.
6. Subgroups in the Windows 11 Style Start Menu. I know about folders and am using them but the ability to add another layer of categorization would be great. Groups should also be collapsible and able to have their own icons. Subfolders would be great too.
7. The context menu for icons in the Windows 11 Style menu should have the contents of the More submenu merged with the main menu. Or at least this should be an option. The main context menu looks kind of dumb with so few options in it and the thing in the More menu are quite important and my mainly used options in the context menu. The context menu should also be themeable with WindowBlinds.
