Hello,
I stopped using Fences 3 due to issues that created less desktop organisation rather than more. I'm wondering if they've been addressed in Fences 4.
The issues are these:
1.
Fences 3 wouldn't automatically remember and preserve the positions of desktop icons that weren't inside Fences, when the desktop resolution was changed by an application. On its own, Windows automatically remembers and restores desktop icon placements when the resolution is changed in a way that pushes icons around. So, if launching a game that changes the resolution to 800 x 600, and then returning to the desktop, Windows will automatically restore the icon layout that was there before launching the game. But after installing Fences 3, that ability would be lost, and icons would get scattered around everywhere after launching that game and returning to the desktop.
I explained and demonstrated the issue in these threads:

2.
In Fences 3, when having multiple pages and a large number of icons, there could become conflicts and glitches between icons on different pages, and when click-dragging on one page, Fences would sometime grab icons from another page and move them to the current page.
I described this issue in more detail, in this thread:

3.
A Fences 3 issue would sometimes prevent me from moving icons to an empty spot on the desktop that I wanted to move them to.
I explained and demonstrated the issue in the second-half of this post:

Some features I'm interested to have in Fences, and which I'm wondering if any of them are in Fences 4, are these:
- ability to scale-down the size of icons within fences
- ability to skip spaces in Fences, so not every icon needs to be next to each other, just like how on the Windows desktop, icons can be spread across the desktop and don't need to be next to each other
