I agree with IPlural. Win2000 might be a good idea, it is *sort of* the equivalent of ME using the NT core. More stable, see? I am not sure if you can run the Services.msc snap-in on it, I have never gotten too in-depth with that OS. However, there is no activation like in XP, and it uses less memory, too. (No stupid Luna interface - ahhh, WB) If you don't want to put any more money into that system, a new PC might be the best thing (after your bike, of course

) If you wan't to get away from Intel, look at ABSPC.com. They are a lot better than Dells, I have found, just as customizable, and you can get Athlons in them (costs less!). Just a thought, and personally, I am surprised 98 runs so nicely WITH WindowBlinds and IconPackager! You must have done a good job with the resource tweaking. Please telll me how ya did it, that kind of stuff interests me too because I manage Win98 machines.
