Sorry to hear you are having issues. Try this, open Word. Drag word over excel, group it. Click on Word's groupy tabs. Click on 3 not menu. Tick that "Always show tabs for this type of Window". From there, Word will always have groupy tabs on it. Do the same steps on other application you wish to have groupy tabs on it all the time.
