I am trying the trial version of groupy. When I open a new explorer window I can group additional explorer windows using the "+" on the tab bar but I cannot merger two windows (see screen movie in link). That means I cannot group windows from different applications. What am I doing wrong?

You have show window contents while dragging disabled in your operating system.
This is required for grouping to work as Groupy is not notified of moves in the same way when that mode is disabled.
You can reset this back to the OS default from the performance settings on system properties.
