DeviantART v3 has been released.

For all those that visit other community sites, DeviantART released V3 yesterday. I was browsing around, it looks great. I never really got into DA, maybe heres my chance. Anyway, it's definately worth a look.

It's got some nice work on there all right (although I find the volume rather daunting browsing through it) but for me (on broadband) it is perhaps the slowest site to load. Is it that way for anyone else? Or is it faster if one is a registered member/subscriber?

It's the slowest loading site I go to, sigh. It's just so big. New version looks ok though.

Very large site and I don't think they have the same bandwidth capabilities as here.

I noticed ISP doesn't show. Thank God! Still DevArt is slower than hell. I got unbanned. Someone stole my ISP. DevArt looks good.

It does indeed.......they've always had speed problems and now during there revision it has a lot of problems they are working on. Kinda frustrating but the layout is really fresh

Indeed v3 is aesthetically pleasing. Very nice loooking, without question. And thus far it seems pretty sweet. A couple of things, that seem to not be there that were two days ago are being missed by me, but still hoping it'll be brought back, while they're working on all the bugs. Not quite getting the whole rating thing for the devious thoughts on my page though. Not exactly sure why I'm supposed to rate the message you left me?

As for DA being slow... I never found it that, that slow? And no I'm not even on cable modem.

Not slow for me. I love dA. Every community site on the net could learn from its example feature-wise.

I agree w/ Brad on that, the new version looks clean and lighter/tighter organized, I think the speed depends on time of day and whether or not they are doing something or updating something, last night when I went for my first peek, it was slow and the images would not load, this morning it was fast as lightning! For such a heavy traffic site and w/ all it's tons of features "They do a great job!"
