Hi, new here. Found Deskscapes after unsuccessfully trying to get Bionix to work.  (I had used it successfully maybe 10 years ago.) Really liked the interface so sprung for the entire Object Desktop Package.  But unfortunately about half of the animations in Deskscape didn't work as desktop wall papers.  Found a Forum entry with a similar problem and followed through with the download of the K-Lite Codec pack.  Found at: https://files3.codecguide.com/K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1526_Mega.exe .  I used my computer 10-15 years ago for a lot of video work and on installing the codecs, K-Lite found a lot of problems with my codecs including messed up registry keys.  I had it fix all the problems as well as installing new/improved versions of old codecs.  Happy to report that this seems to have fixed my problem! All the previously unplayable (as desktop wallpapers) animations are now working fine!  So thanks again to this forum and hoping that this entry helps others resolve similar issues. I have kept this windows install alive since Vista through Win 7 / 8 / 10 upgrades and hope to keep on going, but have to deal with issues like this because the accumulated trash sometimes prevents new products from working correctly.
