I was using Clover for many years on Win7, but it was not running on Win10 at the beginning and now it does but it ended up in being a toy + commercial app. I was happy to find Groupy and I love it.
However, I struggle with Groupy's way of grouping windows while I move windows around. Even with Groupy 1.2 (which adds a delay) I often end up with a tabbed group of windows in an unintended way. It would be very helpfull, if you guys could add a configuration option which would allow me to define a hotkey which enables the tabbing feature during drag & drop, but only when this hotkey is pushed.
Another improvement would be the ability to close all instances of a tabbed group with a single click. This could be easily achieved with the close button of the tabbed group. Today it just closes the active tab of a tabbed window group. I find this a bit confusing, because single tabs can be already closed with their dedicated close button. My proposed implementation would be more handy in my opinion, tabs should be closed with their dedicated close button, while all tabs of thsi group shpould be closed together by clicking the close button of the tabbed windows group.
Side issue:
I'm using VirtuaWin, a nice and very performant vitual desktop manager. Again, I come from Win7 which doesn't support virtual desktops. On Win10, I still use VirtuaWin, because it allows me to toggle through virtual desktps using hotkeys. My use-case is that I've told Groupy to auto-tab Explorer instances. When I do this Groupy works fine on the virtual desktop where I've created the initial Explorer instance. When I now toggle to another virtual desktop and open a new Explorer instance it is not visable. Instead, it gets added to tabbed Explorer group which is on the invisibale virtual desktop. This was working with Clover
