I got rid of cable/satellite tv years ago....I got tired of paying for endless commercials and repeat after repeat and the free weekend viewing of more repeats trying to get me to pay for even more repeats.

These days I binge watch these shows off and on. I know...repeats...but it's stuff I want to watch and no commercials on this short list of shows.

After Game of Thrones I'd get rid of Foxtel here, but for them airing of rugby league and cricket... the fact that Steve and Shaunna also watch it for various things.

There's quite a bit on your list of shows that I watch, in particular the sci.fi ones and some of the crime ones. Not too interested in comedies these days, but Into the Badlands is one I'm really into.  Season 3 just finished here and I'm waiting on the fourth.  I have Orphan Black, Fringe and X-Files on bluray, along with the first 6 seasons of Game of Thrones... will get the rest when season season 8 becomes available. I also have all of the Stargate series on bluray, as well as Falling Skies and Under the Dome, so even though I've seen them all, I still have quite a bit to watch if TV is lacking in better content.  Thing is, I suppose, I'm hoping for some new content/shows to entertain me when I'm not on my PC.

They are among my favcourite shows, also, especially Person of Interest.  The acting, storylines and characters are excellent.

I have a sub with Amazon prime. There are tons of movies, documentaries etc etc. I found sci fi shows that I never knew existed, all commercial free. Don't know if prime is in Oz land.

These are the shows I watch the most: American Gods, What We Do In The Shadows (TV Series), Killing Eve, Black Mirror, Chicago Cubs games, NBA playoffs, Jessica Jones, Stranger Things, The Umbrella Academy, Mind Hunter, Xena Warrior Princess, Ash Vs. Evil Dead (TV Series), Dr. Pimple Popper, Joe The Toe Bro, Hoarders, My 600 Lb Life, Intervention, Shark Tank, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Rachel Maddow and Impractical Jokers.

Yeah, the lastest TV shows are somewhat lame, especially the so-called comedies.  What with so-called comedies, game shows, reality crap and contest shows [eg: Dancing With The Stars, etc] there's bugger all on TV worth watching anymore... be it free-to-air or subscription TV.  I don't watch any of those sorts of shows.... and now there's home renovation and cooking shows coming out of the woodwork in their dozens.  Might be fine for others, but I rent, cook well enough and am only interested in scripted shows with good storylines, great characters and plots.

Yeah, Prime is available here, as is Netflix, but both are a bit superfluous while we have Foxtel.  It will all depend on what's what when we get to Tassie, whether we have a decent internet connection for streaming or not.  Even then I'm not sure if I want to spend money on subscription TV, given the amount of lame rubbish coming out these days.

I download lots of documentaries, nature programs, and just general things of interest shows like how things are made.

Keeping up with the Joneses by any other name...is still jumping on the band wagon with regards to the 'reality' shows.

I don't mind nature docos now and then but I'm more into historic, geographic and space ones.  I also like the 'how things are made' ones, along with travel documentaries and anything to do with steam trains.

I once watched about 10 minutes into a Keeping Up With The Kardashians because Bianca had commandeered the TV and was interested in it.  I soon got pissed and went back to my computer.  She wasn't far behind me, saying that she had to see what all the fuss was about, but that it was crap and never again.  After that I swore I'd never watch anything like it, but there's just so much of it out there it's hard to avoid... unless you don't turn on the TV.  Another thing I can't stand are reality shows on Ambulances and A&E.  I spent more than enough time in both of them to be remotely interested in either.

Thing is, Uvah, there are so many reality type shows on all sorts of subjects these days, so it's a bit hard to call them all Keeping Up With The Joneses.  My 600Lb Life wouldn't fit into that category, nor would 24 Hours IN A&E, but nevertheless they are reality shows.

Reality shows may not be for me, but I begrudge no-one if they want to watch them.  Shaunna watches some here, but I don't have a problem with that.  We each have a TV in our rooms and there's one out in the loungeroom, so there's more than enough to go around... and then we have our PCs.  It's not like anyone has to watch anything they don't want to or don't like.

Anyhow, while the chat has been nice, I still haven't come across anything new to watch.  I may have to go to a TV site that covers current and future shows to see what's available... or will be.

The 100 is back, another great sci'fi show that's into its 7th season.... hopefully it doesn't get axed before its time.
