Yes Roger, your not alone.
I have this same problem also.
For the 5th weekend in a row starting every Friday afternoon my connection to WC deteriorates to the point that it takes nearly 10-20 minutes to load the WC Web page by Saturday if it will load at all. Then come late Monday all is fine again.
But just to insure it is not my machine as many suggest because I am using Windows ME, or it's my anti-virus and or Firewall software, I have purchased new Anti-virus/trojan software and Firewall. Unfortunately I cannot afford to upgrade my OS at this time or in the immediate future.
This weekend I have re-installed my Earthlink software, updated it, and applied the latest patch. I am still having problems, and I simply don't know why.
I do not have this trouble with other Web sites, and I do know and understand that much code at WC is being re-written. I hope it does not force me to choose another OS before I am ready to.
All in all, I will continue to remain patient and hopefull that WC will soon be running smoothly again. For when it does, it is a joy to use.
