First off, I'm new so let that be known now if I show a great deal of ignorance toward SkinStudio, trying my best with the limited tutorials out there. Specifically this one: https://www.stardock.com/products/skinstudio/help/toc.htm
Anywho, so I'm working on it, following by example and whatnot, when I get to the start menu. I liked the idea that was stated in the guide above, where they made the start menu in Photoshop then cut it up to put it into SkinStudio.
So I made a mock up to just get a feel for how configuring and placing the images in SkinStudio. Start Menu "Top Part" and the Left Side's "Programs List" worked fine but then came the Right Side's "Places List". Anytime I tried to import the image into it, it just won't show up. It'll show up in the Image drop down menu, and show a preview of the image at the bottom, but the actual Start Menu Preview? Nothing just white. The Margin Painting tab also shows that nothing is there. I originally was going to make this post yesterday but as I was typing I realized I didn't try one thing and that was using the frame builder and saving it as a .tga after doing so, it worked!
But then came today, where instead of using the mock-up start menu, I went ahead and cut up the actual start menu I made. And as you can tell, the problem reoccurred, this time however using frame builder to .tga does nothing and I'm absolutely stumped with this.
EDIT: I also wanna point out that I can use any other asset of my skin, or any other image for this and it WILL show up. It's just this particular image which makes this make even less sense. I've tried changing the image itself in photoshop, cropping it, resizing in various ways just to see if ANYTHING would work and I got nothing.
EDIT 2: Well...I figured it out and I guess I just wasn't subframing it right lol. Deepest apologies
