Ohhh Shmoopy! That's dell for ya!
Once Dell wen't 'commercial' (really commercial) their quality wasn't the same. (But they still ain't as bad as Hewlett Crappard!

) I understand about the size of your cpu--mine is twice as big as my old one. It's HUGE.
Anyhoo--here's a Dell story for ya. For my husbands birthday in September I decided it was time for him to get a new pc. I order him a Dell (One of those cool small cpu's), I
paid extra so it would be here in time. I ordered a pair of Hardon Kardon (however you spell it

) speakers, sweet lookin', new printer. I figured all this would go beautifully with his sleek monitor (One of this barely 2 inch thick ones). That day comes--no cpu--no speakers. I call Dell, and they say; "Yea I know you paid to have it there...but you know it's not guaranteed? Can't help you it's out of our hands! Call the shipping company." Now they give me the wrong shipping company! I'm calling the wrong place with the the wrong tracking number! Call Dell again... this person tells me, Oh no we used this other shipping company. So I call them, now. They tell me I'm the last stop, no delivery until about 6 or 7pm. I'm supposed to leave to meet him at 5! No one will be there! And, I wanted to have everthing set up for him when he got home! Eventually they tell me if the driver is willing to go off route they'll do it.
Driver arrives...with a box of speakers. No CPU! Driver says, that other box isn't with me? Call the main office. Again....call, hold, transfer, beg--plead--complain-...no guarantees, even though I should have had it already. Driver arrives, with cpu. Frantically I hook up monitor, cpu, speakers printer, everything's looking sweet. I power up the cpu--screens black????? I look at cpu no green light? I check everything...all's plugged in? I unhook everything--plug cpu seperately, try again, nothing. I have to leave in an hour. I open the cpu--can I tell you how shoddy they put this together??? Oh good goddess! They didn't have everthing plugged in inside the cpu!!!!! Unplugged cords--BENT adapters. I had to pull one out, straighten each copper prong very carefully myself, so that it COULD be plugged in to begin with! I Plugged it in again--Green light! yeah! I click to open the cd drive, make sure that's fine--the cd drive dissapears inside the cpu??? Big shock--they forgot to put that together right too!!!
Hubby...calls, he's gonna work late--

Akasha gains extra time to get all this fixed! No thanks to DELL!
