Xbox has innovated HD play, 5.1 Dolby Digital in 99% of games, no need for memory cards (maybe you wanna keep dishing out money), custom soundtrack when developers implement it, System link, rip your cds to the hard drive and listen to em, downloadable levels and whatnot on Live and OXM discs, port in the back for easy online play and raised the bar with A.I. and graphics with consoles (not to mention pc). |
If you have ever played Mario Sunshine or Zelda, they are both Doly Digital 5.1. It's up to the developer to add it or not, the console doesn't play a part in that.
XBox is a
computer designed to be a console machine...therfore it has computer parts. Gamecube was designed to to be a
console gaming machine, therefore it kept along the lines with what a console machine is supposed to be.
As I said before, nobody can mess with XBox when it comes to online play, but I'm sure others will follow their lead. Just a matter of time. Nintendo does have an ethernet adapter though...
Can you be so sure Xbox raised the bar with AI and graphics? AI is a matter of the developer coding it, it has nothing to to with the XBox itself. XBox runs on nVidia graphics while GC runs on ATI graphics. You will have a long line of people claiming one is better than the other. You can't say for sure. Just as in PC life, you have people siding with either nVidia or ATI.
Just remember who started this whole gaming console thing...XBox wouldn't even exist without Nintendo. There is no right and wrong, and I'm not saying GC is better than XBox. It's an argument no one can win, I hate the Yankees, but I'm sure there are millions who love them. You can't change my thoughts and I can't change yours, all I can do is express my opinion.
