Sorry for the very long delay in responding. I never saw your message until I just recently logged into my account. Since this time, I have purchased the program and using V1.8. I think the version I was writing about was a much lower version.
Although using a newer version has helped with some of the issues I wrote about not being a prominent, the program's behavior is still erratic and unpredictable.
I am using Windows 10 with three monitors: two Dells and Asus. One Dell is a 36" curved monitor and is my main screen. I also have running Dell Display Manager.
1. Sometimes when I want to minimize a group and open another program/group next to it, the Winkey + arrow works just find. Other times Windows does not offer any choices of open programs to open side by side. And when this happens, I have not found another way to automatically get another open grouped program to snap open next to another one. I have only been able to minimize the second grouped program and drag it next to the other (grouped or not) program and then pull it open to the size I want. Note, if I have already minimized a group and want to move a non-groupy program next to a grouped program, the Winkey + arrow work fine. It’s only when dealing with grouped programs that this issue occurs.
2. Most of time I do not find I can snap a window to maximum with the mouse. Then there are times I can. Generally, I must use the Winkey + arrow keys or use the Minimize/Maximize button at the top of the window to get the window open all the way.
3. Then there are times, I will select a tap in a group and the entire group will go over to another monitor. For example, the group will be open on the center monitor. I will select another tab and the group will move to the right or left monitor.
4. When using the Winkey + arrow to move a group either on one monitor or to another monitor, the group will expand across two monitors. If you keep hitting the Winkey+ arrow keys, the group will go back to a normal size, however, hit the Winkey + arrow again and the group expands back out. If you try and move the group with the mouse to another monitor, it only stretches out across the monitors. In this case it doesn't matter if the grouped window appears normal size or note. Try moving it with the mouse and it only stretches .The only way I have found to fix this issue is to close all the tabs. I should say, I find this behavior mostly when having a few Explorer tabs open in a group even if there are other programs or not in the group. I cannot real say it has been an issue with non-Explorer programs in a group. And when you start shutting down tabs in that group, it does not fix the problem. Even when one tab is left open. You must close them all and start over.
5. When using the Winkey + arrow and you arrow a group down, it will minimize as it should, however the group will not come back with the keys. You must go to the toolbar, right click its’ icon and select maximize to get the group to reappear on the monitor.
So, if you see this, I hope it helps the development team.
