wblind.dll conflict

I’ve used WindowBlinds of years, but have run into an issue very recently, with wblind.dll causing a media app, DVDFab’s Media Player Professional 3, to crash upon accessing any of its features, including menu. The crash report cites wblind.dll, and indeed, if I rename that file, the media player runs without issue. I see several versions of wblind.dll in the WindowBlinds folder. Do I need the original one? I’m running Win7 64.

What version of Windowblinds are you running? Should be 10.62.

You can hold Ctrl while launching or, better yet, in WB settings set it to exclude skinning the application

Ah, I didn't realize the current updates were for both Win 7 and 10 (I have both, 10 is a notebook). I also ended up creating two batch files as launch buttons to rename wblind and then rerename when done with media player. That works, but if I forget the latter, then when rebooting Win 7 with wblind renamed, skin components at top of display don't load correctly. I'll try upgrading to newest version of WB.

Didn't realize one could avoid WB for some apps. That might be the issue to avoiding workarounds for media app. Thanks for tips!

Well, I replaced 7.41 with 10.62 and the skins are not applied to Win 7. What's that about? I wouldn't have upgraded if I was aware that the new version doesn't seem compatible with Win 7 despite claim on website, and interface reminded me of why I disliked WB v10.x on my notebook. Ugly blue on white app interface. Nor does WB icon show up in notification area. Is there something I'm missing up running this version?
