New Subscription vs Renewal

Hi all, I have an expired OD license and was wondering if it's possible to purchase a new subscription to OD (cheaper with a sale) rather than renewing. If it is, does my account just add another subscription license or does my existing license get updated?

If you have had a previous Object Desktop subscription, either annual or the now-discontinued monthly, you should be eligible for renewal (annual) at a discount from the initial retail subscription price; your prior annual license, if applicable, would be re-activated. If you were monthly, a new license would probably be generated. I don't believe re-purchasing 'on sale' (if that is even possible) would be less expensive than the discounted renewal price. If I'm not mistaken.

I purchase OD previously (1 year subscription)

Right now there is a 60% off a new OD purchase, so buying it new would be $19.99 vs renewing at $29.99.

Basically my question is whether buying it new ads another Object Desktop serial number to my account.

Theoretically,it should,but does that matter?? You did not get more discounts by,that's say 2 years. The only inconvenience is that you get another sn/licence. But,you may need official answer by email support teams.
