Dear Stardock

I have no minimize, maximize or close buttons on either of them. I have tried changing skins (the ones bundled) to see if it is the skins that are causing it, it's not.

Bug reports really need more information...

Minimum....

Program version

OS version

Which specific browsers and their versions.

 

Windowblinds does work for the relevant browsers and OS at time of release.

Subsequent updates to both the browser/s and the OS will affect this to one's detriment.

Uh....you need to specific which ones though,on that note,Chrome cannot fully skin on those areas you mentioned but it should work fine.

Which browser are you using?

WindowBlinds should be skinning the titlebar of Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and MS Edge.

Please note that as you were warned when you applied a skin, you may need to restart some apps (Chrome especially).  Chrome has an irritating habit of hanging around when you think you have closed it, so a sign out / sign in would be best.

WB 10.5

Windows 10 pro (64bit), latest updates (non insider)

Firefox 49.0.2

Chrome 54.0.2840.87

I'd  also like to add that Firefox is laggy when moving the window about, I have a Gsync monitor that is set to 120 hz on desktop, so can definitely feel it. Whilst I was moving the Firefox window about my screen went black and explorer stopped and restarted itself.

Can you post screenshots of them not skinning please.

If you use a theme with blur firefox may be slower as unfortunately Firefox often incorrectly sets itself to be fully glass in which case there is a very large blurred area you cannot see.

Firefox seems to have fixed itself. But the laggyness still remains, even with a non blurred theme.

I assume you have signed out sign changing to a WB theme?

Regarding Chrome, what video hardware do you have? (I assume this is not in a VM)

yes signed out and back in, no VM and I have a 980ti running on the 375.70 drivers.

I just checked here with 54.0.2840.87 m (64 bit) and everything is still skinning just fine with Google Chrome on Windows 10 anniversary edition with a Geforce GTX 970.  I am on driver 372.90 though

If you run chrome://gpu what does it say about your video setup?

Also have you turned on any non default Chrome security settings and what security software are you using?

It should also work without Hardware acceleration enabled I think, but I am happy it is working for you now.

We will look into Firefox when moving it in case it is us and not them.  Nothing should be repainting when the windows are moved other than a blur area.
