I would like to suggest a couple of features that I find very useful in KDE4. These would be great in Fences too:
1) Provide an option for file name filtering. E.g.: The user can specify "*.pdf" as a filter to make the folder portal show only PDF files.
2) Provide an option for selecting individual title bar icons for the folder portals (perhaps also for other fences).
