An explotion can be heard every evening at the military academy. Farmington Village is not close to the base for the base has a 100 mile no man zone perimiter around it. The explotions are now common place in Farmington. Doesn't bother anyone from thier sleep and doesn't stop the teen parties when spring comes around... well, when there use to be spring, or any season for that matter.
The days are warm, but dark. Summer, or what is now called summer, seems hot but never that hot. Winter seems cool and maybe a snow storm once in a while; few years or so.
Seasons rarely happen any more. its been over 30 years since that day that the world changed. There were so many things we don't know about our Universe. We got so comfortable; peace on Earth, famine gone, education for all (or most at least), and most places people lived very well.
Something covered the sun. Scientist say it is extraterrestrial made, for it doesn't seem to be a natural fanominon. The world went wild for a few years. "The end is coming!" some shouted and believed. Some tried to help the end to come by setting up wars and disagrements, but it all seemed surreal when most people in the wars never died. Something always saved them. Everyone had a story. "The bullet just missed me!" "I fell 50 stories and walked away."
Some died, but most didn't. Things calmed down mostly because the govenments came to a settlement. Most people do not know about so many surviving being shot, stabbed, drowned. The goernment kept a good hold on that information, they could not explain it either.
The Earth is relativly calm now. Hardly any storms, no seasons, no wars... no sun.
They say the Moon is there, but no Sun means no light shining on it. The population was told that the Moon was still there. It is... but it also is now more. Much more than just a moon.
