There is one good thing about the Windows 10 Start menu - it lets you arrange your tiles into named categories:

However, those tiles look ugly with their square backgrounds, plus they waste space. The Start menu is wide!
You can make all the tiles "small", but then you lose the text labels:

Without the text labels, there's no way I can remember what all those are. Also, note the big gap down the middle - you cannot get rid of it.
My suggestion is to give us a new Start menu design - with icons instead of tiles:
(Please ignore the shortcut arrow on every icon)
The icons are spaced using the desktop vertical and horizontal spacing settings (so if you think mine are too crowded, you can space them as you like).
Note how it is cleaner without those horrible squares behind each icon. Note how the icons are now full sized, instead of shrunken as in the second picture. Note how the Start menu is narrower than the second one, and much narrower than the first one.
Please, Stardock, can I persuade you to add this as a fourth menu design choice? I would happily pay again for this feature.
Thanks.
(PS: Sorry for the cruddy mock-ups.)
