I like your Candera, though it does not make window backgrounds a color other than white; and I would replace the black title and slider bars with a darker color in the same range as the background color. This is something I used to be able to do easily in previous versions of Windows, creating a very restful appearance. Do I have to learn how to design my own skins now?

Well, you could learn to do you own skins if wanted too, takes time though.  But PM me with your color choices in RGB for Cadera and your email address and I will see what I can do.
