I 've installed WINFX 2 and tried to enlarge the icons on the desktop by means of desktop icons(Properties of WIN FX) which worked good. But after shutdown and rebooting the icons appeared normal again. They can be enlarged again by activating the WindowsFX in the start menu, but this is not the sence of it. I want to have them alway larger than such in the entire system. Can anybody advise?
Besides I had after starting the WINFX2 marking performance advise the following statement:
Your graphic card is: S3 Graphics Inc. SavageIX
Your driver version is: 5.13.1.7056. Constant alpha is not accelerated by this drivers. Per pixel Alpha blending is not accelerated by these drivers either.
Advice:The lack of constant alpha blending will decrease the performance of most of the windowsFX features.We recommend you download newer driver if possible.
On the other hand I tried to changed the text color beneath the icons but it didn't work.
Note: I have updated WIN ME to WIn XP SP1, Laptop Toshiba Satellite 2800-400, 750 KHz, 192 MB RAM.
